Description: Rocket to the Morgue by H. H. Holmes, aka Anthony Boucher. This book is a Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone. Stated 1st edition, which was published in 1942. Former lending library copy in rough condition. Book is in readable condition. The dust jacket has been trimmed on all edges (approximately 1/2inch on bottom and same on top edge), is behind plastic, and each flap is glued to pastedowns. Dust jacket is crinkled, shows, wear and tear, faded, has tape marks, and tears and chips missing. Poor condition. Book itself is in readable condition. Besides dust jacket being taped to pastedowns, there is heavy wear to spine tips and tips of boards. Ffep missing. Otherwise all pages intact and secure to binding. Lending library stamps to front pastedown. Stamps to top of text block on edge. Pages are all readable but many have stains. Some have crinkle and fold marks. May be a short tear here and there. Obviously, not in great condition. A reading copy only. Please ask questions or for more pictures before bidding/buying so you can assess condition for yourself.
