Description: Here is a rare promo release of music from the soundtrack of Rock, Pretty Baby, one of the very earliest rock 'n' roll themed movies. The movie starred Sal Mineo, Fay Wray, Rod McKuen and Shelley Fabares. The music was credited to "Jimmy Daley and the Ding-A-Lings", a fake band. Henry Mancini and his Orchestra were heavily involved in performing the soundtrack, and Alan Copeland and Hal Dickerson of The Modernnaires handled vocals. Vinyl grades VG+: there is a feelable "squiggle" mark at the end of Track 2 into Track 3 on Side 2 that creates some light clicking over about the last quarter of Track 2 and first quarter of Track 3; there are a couple of other spots with very light marks that cause light clicks for 4-5 rotations; otherwise it is a clean, loud listen with only a stray click here and there; excellent gloss. Pink promo deep groove labels grade NM: bright logo and graphics; solid pink color; no spindles. Outer sleeve grades VG+: three spots with minor sticker lifting damage on front; very light ring/rubbing wear; one corner has a harder ding with a corner crease; two other corners have light bumps with tiny corner creases; very light aging along opening edge; no splits; strong spine; graphics and photos are clear and bright; excellent color.
