Description: Signed watercolor on paper, framed and matted. Rip Harrison is a Texas artist and specializes in marine and seashore paintings. Rip Harrison was a native of Corpus Christi who graduated from the University of Houston and retired to Fulton after working for Southern Mineral Corporation for 31 years in marketing and transportation. He was a favorite artist and teacher at the early Rockport Art Association in the Estelle Stair Gallery and at Rockport Art Festivals. He thought the Rockport boat basin was the prettiest place in the US, saying “You could go to the turning basin and stay there the rest of your life and never paint the same thing. Watercolor is a view of the marina or dock. Four fishing / shrimping boats are docked. Signed on lower right. Note on back indicates painting dates from November 1968 (or possibly #68?). Condition: Very good giftable condition. I see no mentionable issues with the artwork or frame. Framing is tight and well matted. No foxing, tears, creases, repairs, soiling, or discolorations. Dimensions: Total framed image 12” x 15.25” x 1”, Image is 11” x 14”. Unpacked weight: 2 pounds. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping. I only charge actual postage, and always use recycled packing materials. Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles. On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views. I gladly accept returns, but please note I do not pay return postage unless there was a significant error in my description. The item listed is being sold as is, as pictured and as described to the best of my knowledge. All dimensions and weights approximate. If you have a question or an assumption on an item prior to purchase, please ask. I much prefer to take the time on the front end to make sure you will be satisfied with your purchase. Remember, when buying vintage expect imperfections as these items have a history and have been in the possession of others. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
