Description: This limited edition print is from 1980 and was sold out years ago. Obtained from the original purchaser, this print in its original frame is Number 27 of 500 and is pencil signed by the artist. The print is in excellent condition with bright colors and no evidence of fading. As seen in Photo #1, the print does show some ripples across the top and the kraft paper covering the back of the frame has several tears. We have overlayed new kraft paper.Excluding the frame dimensions. the print is 15 inches high and 13 inches across. Frame included, it is 17 1/2 inches high and 14 1/2 inches across. It commemorates a dark winter's night at the Breakers Bar in Nome, Alaska. The typical atmosphere in Munoz' work is whimsical and light. This piece is no exception.Having passed away in 2015, Rie Munoz was known world-wide for her Alaskan art and demand for these old prints is increasing. This is one of the more difficult to find prints from her catalog and is prized for its light-hearted capture of the essence of Alaskan life in dark winter as seen through the eyes of miners. It is signed in pencil by the artist.
