Description: Rhodocoma gigantea Seeds "Giant Restio" (SOW IN FALL) An elegant and architectural grass from South Africa, that is the largest growing among the Restios, offering tall, bamboo-like stems of whorled, feathery foliage. In spring, male or female, brown drooping clusters of flowers appear. The shapely form and graceful habit make this suitable for focal points in the garden. It also looks beautiful when planted in large groupings or as a border. The plants will grow to 9' tall and wide in well-watered locations, and will be smaller in stature if grown on the drier side. Best grown in moisture-retentive yet well-drained soil, in full to half sun. Hardy to 20 degrees F, though the foliage might brown out a bit at that low of temperature. The seeds can be challenging to start, but the plants are very easy to grow. One packet contains 10 Freshly Harvested Seeds, Special Smoke Primer, Small Zip-Loc Priming Pouch, and Detailed Sowing Instructions. These are true seeds, and have been hand-harvested and hand-cleaned, by me, from plants growing in my own garden. There are many fakes selling seeds out there, so please rest assured that by shopping from me you are getting the real deal! Please note: The seeds are fresh and viable - success in their germination is up to you - and will be achieved by carefully following the instructions included with your seeds. Sowing seeds requires cleanliness, practice and patience, and frequently have specific requirements and pretreatments. There is a learning curve. I say this because people generally blame the seeds or the seller for a failure in germination, when, in actuality, it is generally because of the one doing the sowing... With that said, I wish you the best of luck with the seeds, and if you have any questions with getting them started, please feel free to contact me. I've been growing and collecting rare and exotic plants for over 45 years and sowing seeds has been a specialty. Most of the trees and shrubs that are growing in my garden have been started from seeds; there is something very satisfying about that. All photos are of plants in my own collection - unless stated otherwise. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - SORRY - I ONLY SHIP TO THE US. I do combine shipping for multiple items - please request a new shipping total before checking out. Thank you! Upon arrival of the seeds/cutting/plant, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I want you to be happy with your purchase and to have the greatest success in its cultivation! Thank you for checking out my ebay offerings. Robert
