This has a brass plaque on the front of one cuff that reads Folsom Prison California. Made of heavy cast iron, these are working handcuffs that come with a removable key. The key must be tightened completely for each cuff to open and then unscrewed to use on the other cuff. To lock, insert the key and tighten completely again, insert the cuff and unscrew to remove. The inside measurement of each one is approx 2 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" front to back in the closed position. They are about 3" apart at the chain. They weigh 1 pound 5 oz. This is a modern reproduction of an antique item no longer in use. Important: Please note the dimensions listed as size cannot be determined based on pictures alone. Colors may appear different in person due to lighting, monitor/phone settings, etc…… These are rusty/oily and will need to be wiped off prior to use.
