Description: The chain you receive for this listing will be what we think is the "newer" variety with side links that say "Regina 80" in what looks to be a slightly newer typeface.**Note that this chain is factory fresh and many years old, so you will want to soak it a bit (bit don't use harsh chemicals) as the original factory lube may have gummed up. The wrapper it comes in may not be in good shape after all these years.**Regina Black chain for wide space 5sp or wide space 6sp freewheels. Will not work on narrow space freewheels. This is a great go-to chain for many vintage restorations and really should be much more epensive but there is a reasonable supply of them still in the pipeline so we can offer it at a great price! Some chains may say "Regina" and some may say "Regina 80" on the side. (Otherwise the chains seep absolutely identical). The ones that simply say "Regina", from the ones we studied, seem to have an older looking typeface. We're selling these possibly older ones for a small premium. Note that the packaging on both varieties is a bit random - some packaging says etra, and some doesn't, so regardless of what your chain's side plate engraving is, the packing may vary. These chains are a great affordable way to get the positive ker-chunk shift feel that only the stiffer wide space chains provide. Not necessarily better - just different and more "classic". We've been selling these for awhile now and we've had folks come back many times for more. No reason to not change your chain often in order to preserve those precious wide space vintage freewheels! This item is perfect for that old Cinelli, Masi, Hetchins, Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL bicycle that you have.
