The Everest Gen7 is built on a cool 3mm powder coated steel ladder frame chassis, as opposed to a cheaper plastic frame you can find on some competitor vehicles. You can see the chassis in pictures 5 and 6. It was designed by BPC and TG2, who have years of experience building scale crawler components as well as full-size crawlers. True beadlock wheels and licensed Super Swamper tires really enhance the scale appearance of this truck and add to its "Wow!" factor. All Everest Gen7 trucks are sold ready-to-run, except AA batteries for the transmitter. The Gen7 Sport is powered by a strong 550 brushed electric motor and comes stock with a 7.2V 2000mAh rechargeable battery. The onboard electronics, including the Hexfly ESC manufactured by Hobbywing, are splashproof. You can drive fearlessly through puddles! The electronics are not rated for submersion, though. (Driving the truck fully submerged along the bottom of a swimming pool is not recommended.) A wall charger and 2.4GHz transmitter also come standard in the box. You can use a 7.4V LiPo pack to drive the truck rather than the stock NiMh battery without replacing any parts on the vehicle to get more pop on the trail. It is also possible to run with an 11.1V LiPo pack, but Redcat Racing has cautionary notes with this - including the risk of higher drivetrain wear. See manual for details.
