Description: The red Fisher Price 6 Volt Power Wheels battery, part number 00801-0712 or 00801-1459, comes with the type "A" style plug and is used in the 6V Preschool and 12V Preschool Advanced series of ride on toys. It is worth noting that the Advanced Series toys require two (2) of these 6 volt batteries to operate. They are connected in series which adjusts the voltage from being 6V to 12 volts. The newer model 12V toys use a single grey colored battery with a different connector. The original red 6V battery is 9.5Ah and came with either one of these part numbers: 74522, 00801-0712, 00801-0481. You can also purchase an after market version that has 12Ah, a 25% increase in capacity. This simply means it will run longer between charges.
