Description: This is a very nice RED spined Ferocactus pringlei/stainseii/pilosus cactus. You will receive a plant similar to what is shown in the pictures (excluding the last picture.) These are gorgeous plants, but the botanical names are a MESS. I won't bore you with the details, but there is no "accepted" name for this species, and is routinely sold under the three names listed above. I prefer "Ferocactus pringlei" myself, as that is what I knew it by first. Either way, these are fantastic plants with great red spines, and red flowers as well (when mature!) This plant is in a 3.25" pot, as shown in the picture, but will be sent bare root. These are grown from seed in Tucson! Very limited quantities on these! Snooze and you lose! The last picture shows a mature plant with blooms. This is a GREENHOUSE GROWN plant, of course! It is approximately 3 to 4 years old. NOTE: We are down to the final 20-some plants!
