This postcard shows a view of a restaurant that was destroyed in a terrible hurricane/. Debris is everywhere! A sign reads Seattle Lobster House Jaale. The writer of the postcard documented in handwriting on the back the following Long Wharf, Walter Cremin, a bartender, was killed in the wreckage of the Seattle Lobster House, Hurricane Of Sept 21/38. The view has been identified as Long Wharf at Newport Rhode Island and Walter Cremlin was the proprietor of the restaurant. The card back is divided and is not postmarked.
