They will have RCA acid etch markings on the tubes, black plates as pictured with a heat shield between, and triple micas. Below you can see the heat shields between the black plates. These tubes may have no logo, some logo, or most logo. The logo's on these tubes have worn off of many of the tubes over the years due to being packaged in bulk. The 5670/2C51/396A is a dual triode driver tube. The famous Western Electric 396A was the prototype for the 5670. Over the last few years it has really sprung up in the audiophile world as having an excellent sound with very linear curves. It has seen wide military equipment use, including fire control computers and communication systems. The 5670 become more popular when Shanling started using the 6N3 in CD players which could be replaced with the 5670. It is a direct replacement for the Chinese 6N3 and Soviet 6N3P. The 5670 is being used as a 6922 substitute in some applications with either the correct socket wiring or an adapter. This is an excellent way to save significant $$ over the 6922 6DJ8 E88CC ECC88 varieties as well as opening up lots of tube rolling opportunities. Please do your own research on the way you may be able to do this in your system.
