Description: For sale is a vintage RC Nippon, or Royal China, pitcher hand decorated with band of flowers. The small pitcher has an angular spout, high straight handle with an overall shape of a cone missing the top, or frustum. Simple and graceful, the top exterior features a 3/4" band of pale yellow and a band of flowers in pastel colors running just under the base of the spout. The milk pitcher's finishing detail is in gold covering the rim and handle, with a fine line between the color change and a band at the base. The Nippon backstamp indicates this piece was probably made prior to 1921. The vintage piece is in very good condition with no damage, cracks or crazing. Light gold wear along top of rim looks like storage wear (photograph 12). There is a small pale yellow spot on interior bottom. The pitcher is marked on the bottom in red for hand made and with stylized green RC (Royal China or Crockery) logo. Made in Japan.
