(Perth Pewter) 25mm Mounted Knight Wielding Axe.Two pieces (knight and horse) from the Wizards and Lizards line of miniature 25mm pewter fantasy figures made by Perth Pewter, a subsidiary of Superior Models Inc.The two pieces did not originally come together, but they are interchangeable and fit together nicely.The horse was originally part of the "Mounted Knight, 1250 A.D." set (WL-044) that included this horse with a different knight (wielding a sword with a winged crest on its helmet.The knight was originally part of the "Mounted Knight" set (WL-091) that included this knight with a different horse (rearing horse).Both sets were made in 1981 and were sculpted by Ray Lamb. Ray Lamb was a professional baseball pitcher during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He then became a sculptor with Perth Pewter. At the time, Ray Lamb was regarded by some to be the best miniature sculpture in the world. The pieces have amazing detail and are quite beautiful.They are in excellent condition. The horse measures about 1.5 inches long and 1.25 inches tall. The horse and knight together are just under 2 inches tall.
