Description: 5.25x7 TLS dated November 26, 1991, regarding a photo request signed at the conclusion in black ink by Ray Harryhausen. In very good condition. (1920-2013) Raymond Frederick Harryhausen was an American-British animator and special effects creator who created a form of stop-motion model animation known as "Dynamation". His works include the animation for Mighty Joe Young (1949) with his mentor Willis H. O'Brien (for which the latter won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects); his first color film, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958); and Jason and the Argonauts (1963), which featured a sword fight with seven skeleton warriors. His last film was Clash of the Titans (1981), after which he retired. This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety. Comes with a full Letter of Authenticity from Todd Mueller Authentics if the lot sells for $10 or more.
