Rare Wedgwood LITTLE RIDING HOOD & WOLF Transfer 10 ¼” Plate c. 1905

Description: Wedgwood LITTLE RIDING HOOD & WOLF 10 ¼” Plate c. 1905 Offering a beautiful and scarce hand-enameled transfer printed dinner plate by Wedgwood from the Red Riding Hood Series, c. 1905. Made of earthenware, the plate is part of a six-plate series, printed with various bands, this plate is the last plate and features Riding Hood standing next to granny’s bed, the wolf rolling out. The border features orange and blue enamels with draped medallions tied with bows and swags, finished with a smooth green rim. The back is stamped with Wedgwood Etruria England and the date mark impressed H for the year 1905 Measures 10 ¼” diameter Plate is in Excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, note some minor scratching to the surface, the curtains appears to have some flaws to the transfer paint most likely from production, and the rim has a few flakes to the paint, crazing to the back commensurate with age, please see all photos A Wonderful addition to any collection!
