Description: ***RARE*** VINTAGE 1950s ALFRED SHAHEEN HAWAIIAN SMOCK TOP & PANTS OUTFIT SIZE 8 ARNEL & COTTON BLEND CREAM & RUST COLORED MANDARIN STYLE WITH CONICAL ASIAN HATUp for auction is this spectacular vintage 1950s Hawaiian smock top & pant set from Alfred Shaheen. Just look at the pictures and see how beautiful this outfit is. This set was made in Hawaii of a soft comfortable ARNEL & COTTON BLEND FABRIC and has a Mandarin style including an Asian conical hat. Alfred Shaheen started his own clothing line in the late 1940s after working in the clothing industry for his father George Shaheen for several years. THE SMOCK TOP has a rich russet color. The front closes with 4 decorative frog buttons that match the cream color of the pants. The back has a stylish kick pleat with fabric inside that matches the cream pants as well. There is a decorative frog button at the top of this kick pleat. The pictured and included belt creates a more sleek & figure flattering look. THE PANTS are the mentioned cream color that matches the frog buttons on the smock top as well as the inside of the kick pleat. There are pleats all the way around from the waist. These pants have a zipper closure on the left side. Note the unique angled leg cuffs. THE CONICAL HAT may or may not have been original to this pant & smock top outfit. Our grandmother stored it for decades with this outfit. This Asian conical hat has a chin strap. As the pictures demonstrate.
