Description: Rare Vintage The Smurfs Original Production Cel 1986 hand drawing 10.5” by 12,5 “ in Hanna-Barbera This original hand-painted animation cel and its matching drawing of a Smurf were created by artists in the Hanna-Barbera Studio in production of an episode of the first year of the animated television show. The drawing was created by a studio animator; the cel was made directly from it in the Ink-and-Paint Department and photographed in the making of the film. Hanna-Barbera's popular show based on the comics of Belgian cartoonist Peyo (pen name of Pierre Culliford) ran continuously from 1981 to 1990, and several specials were made during the 1980s.
