Shirred drapery is one of the newest details to be found on evening dresses. In this case, it is used to emphasize the slenderizing panel in the front of the skirt. Shirring is seen again at the neckline in front of the blouse. The smart wrap is fashioned after the popular coolie coat lines."(Please note that if you are not familiar with the term "Coolie coat" it is a very unacceptable term once found in common parlance to refer to jackets and robes traditionally worn by peoples of Asia.) Condition: The pattern is in very good, clean condition and does not appear to have been used. There are some light foxing spots to the pattern tissue. The instructions and crisp, clean, and almost like new. The envelope has had a bit of a rough time and has several small tears and splits at the edges, in addition to the portion missing from bottom right. I have made several small repairs with acid-free, archival-safe mending tissue.Complete: Yes.Pattern type: un-printed, perforated tissue.
