RARE Vintage MOD TWEED-SOMES FRANCIE Barbie OF EXC/COMP Rare Heels FREE SHIP BIN

Description: Tweed-Somes is one of Francie's cutest Mod Era ensembles! This was a perfect outfit for traveling:) This outfit #1286 was only available in 1967, so it is challenging to find. This outfit is in Excellent+ and Complete condition; it includes the dress, coat, hat, hatbox, double strand necklace, pale pink lacy hose, and hot pink heels. Please note that I put the wrong shoes in the main pic and pic #4. The correct hot pink shoes are shown in pics #2 & #3. The only reason I've rated this outfit as Excellent, is that it had a small repair done on one shoulder seam of the dress. I don't grade anything as "Mint" unless I have just taken it out of its original packaging. I have collected vintage Barbie for 30+ years, and I scrutinize items I sell on eBay. If you have a question that my description hasn't answered, please ask me:). I am selling a large collection of vintage Barbie on eBay, so you may want to save me as a seller. The Tweedsomes coat looks clean and the fabric is in good shape with no pulls. The coat has all of the pink "pockets" sewn on; it still has its 2 pink buttons along the front and 2 hook and eye closures along the front edge, see pics # 3 & #4. The coat's pink lining is intact with no rips or stains. The dress looks clean, and it still has its belt and buckle attached at the front. The snap closures are intact at the dress' back. The dress had frayed at the left shoulder seam, and the seam has been repaired there, see pics #5 & #6. The repair has been done nicely, but the shoulder edges don't quite match up perfectly; the front of the shoulder seam isn't quite as wide as the back of the shoulder seam. This isn't very obvious and won't show at all when the coat is displayed over the dress. The cute tam style hat is clean and looks good; there's a tiny bit of wear on the fabric at the lower edge of the hat band, but it's in great shape. Francie's brightly colored hatbox has an intact latch and hinge. It shows slight wear on the decal side, mainly at the right and left widest parts, see pic #7. There is a tiny scratch at the top of the decal, above the "e" of Francie. The lacy hose look white in pics #1 & #2, but they are actually pale pink. One hose is slightly pinker than the other, the other looks a little gray, but it is clean. I don't think this color difference will be very noticeable on display. The hose are pictured on a white background in pics #8 & #9. The hose don't have any holes or tears. The single strand bead necklace is intact, though I can see a couple threads sticking out where the stringing was knotted. The rare soft hot pink heels are marked Japan, see pics #2 & #3. The top heel in pic #2 has some subtle indents on the top of the shoe, and there is a spot on the side of the shoe visible in pic #3. Tweedsomes will look smashing on your favorite Francie!
