Description: This is a rare piece of kitsch of the Mid Century Modern era. This is a vintage "Happy New Year" glass smoke tray trinket dish. Seems normal enough........and then you take a good look at the graphics. A funky pink and white monkey wearing a cone hat and sitting on a gold swing. The monkey has a paint brush in hand and is surrounded by atomic starbursts. The Happy New Year, the swing, the paintbrush, and the atomic graphics are all done in a gold paint. The Happy New Year wording appears to be hand painted in cursive.....since the monkey has a paintbrush in hand, it must have painted it. Glass tray is in excellent condition, the graphics have no paint wear, there are no chips or cracks, no fleabites to edges. No scratches or scuffs. This item does not appear to have been used or displayed, probably because it would given someone nightmares! 4 3/4 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches across. Please ask any questions. Thank you
