Description: Rare Vintage Father Flanagans Boys Home Town Letter Opener Floaty Pen Denmark Really nice condition for its age - read the description and check out the photos for more details Notes:- floaty boy does go back and forth but you have to give it a firm tap to get him to move- quite a few bubbles in the floaty liquid (probably why he doesn't move as easily as he should)- No cracks- plastic/bakelite of "blade" is translucent white- measures 7 3/8" long- somewhat unusual that it reads "Father Flanagan's Boys Home" when that name switched to "Boys Town" in 1926. Yet the floaty pen wasn't invented until the 1940s. So how old is it? I have no idea but my guess would be early 50's. Please check out the photos which show the actual item you will receive.
