Nicknamed “The Newscaster” this Firestone Air Chief model 4-A-26 vacuum tube table top AM radio first introduced in 1948. This radio has a Bakelite or Plaskon case. Plugged it in and was listing to a ball game, I would replace the cord through. The radio has been tested and it works well for its age. It is in very nice condition, although the coating is flaking off. It has the original knobs and original back-painted dial glass.
