Rare STEIFF Jocko Monkey Hand Puppet ~ 1930s German Mohair Vintage Chimp Toy

Description: Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. The company produced incredible stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like the iconic Jocko! Monkeys are legacy animals for Steiff and were produced since the early years of the company. This very old puppet is a testament of Steiff's golden era and was beautifully handmade in Germany circa 1930s. Just by the way his tiny hands are sewn one can tell how meticulously made this puppet was. His handsome look, with pocket glass eyes, gives him a captivating expression that is hard not to fall in love with. This puppet retains his ear button but what is a special rarity among collectors is its early chest tag, with the old bear's head drawing and Jocko's name written in red. This puppet is almost 100 years old and has been loved. But his imperfections give him an added layer of charm and personality! His head is firmly stuffed with excelsior and has a cardboard tube for movement. Little Jocko can't wait to jump to your toy collection!  Condition: Used and pre-owned antique puppet.
