Description: Crude and beautiful long neck Dutch porter in a rare small size. Standing 8ā tall with a base diameter of 3ā, this Colonial era bottle was recovered in the 1980s by salvage divers working in the waters of Chandeleur Sound in the Gulf of Mexico. The bottle is in fantastic condition with NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER. It does have many tiny fine scratches from rolling around the seabed for decades. The color is a deep olive green with shades of yellow throughout. The mouth is flared above a crudely applied string band on the neck. The pontil is large and jagged within a deep kickup. These are getting difficult to find and prices keep going up. Shipping will be by USPS Ground Advantage with tracking and insurance. I ship only within the United States. Packing will be done professionally to ensure the bottle arrives in your collection in the same condition it leaves mine. I usually ship within 48 hours of payment; however, my work involves frequent travel and you will be promptly notified of any shipping delay. The shipping rate quoted is the maximum you will pay. Iām forced to list a higher rate to cover shipping to more distant regions; for example, from my home in Virginia to the west coast. Immediately after shipping I will promptly refund any overage more than 99 cents. The same holds true for multiple purchases shipped together. Thanks for taking a look. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
