Description: RARE Sherline Mini Metal Lathe W/ Brass Bed & Manual Made In Australia 🇦🇺 this is an original model manufactured in Australia, April 1977 and sold through the Sears Craftsman line and features a brass bed way. See video where I show this running, It has a variable speed control. The headstock is threaded in 3/4 x 16TPI, also the headstock taper is Morse #1 and the tail stock taper is Morse #0. I’m including a Long Allen wrench, an extra belt, the original manual with lots of great information and illustrations as well as a bag of fasteners, both the belt and fasteners I purchased in the last 15 years from Sherline. See photos for what you get as well as dimensions and cosmetic details such as signs of previous use and wear etc. Overall very nice condition and runs well. I’ve owned this for over 20 years. I purchased it from a clockmaker who originally purchased it new. In photos 9, 10, and 11 you can see where the lead screw hand wheel has been modified in order to remove the tail stock completely which I think is an ingenious modification so you don’t have to remove the handle every time you just slide it over.
