Description: This is an original solid lead printing plate from the Washington Post from Friday, August 9, 1974. This was the Post front page headline “Nixon Resigns”. These plates are usually melted down and recycled to make the next days paper but not uncommon for a Post employee to save historical headline ones as mementoes. This one came from an estate in the Washington, DC area. Plate is solid lead and weights 50lbs so shipping would be expensive but not impossible. Local pickup is preferred but will entertain shipping through eBay if you message me. Plate is in great condition as you can see from pictures. Please contact me with any questions.
