Description: Rare Multi-Pieces Antique Staffordshire Transfer Ware Francis Morley Blossom Purple Transfer Wash Set c. 1845-58. Comprising bowl (13¼ x 4½), ewer (11¾ x 6 bottom dia), 2 pieces soap dish (5¼ x 4¼ x 2¼) with inset strainer, toothbrush box & cover (8¼ x 3½ x 3¼ h). Round bowl with indented rolled rim, the rest are octagonal with straight or ogee profile. Purple transfer “Blossom” pattern hand painted over-glaze in blue, green & yellow enamels. Floral cartouche back-stamp “Blossom F. Morley & Co.” of Francis Morley Shelton, Hanley, Staffordshire. Godden mark # 2761, “1845-58”. Bowl has two serious cracks from rim down the sides. The pitcher, soap dish & strainer, toothbrush box & cover are very good with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. H6436All Items Are Sent Insured.
