Decal Manufacturer: Microscale Title: Carrier Air Wing 2 RA-5C, F9F-5, A-6E Ref: 72-302 Scale: 1/72 Decals: This hard to find sheet contains decals for three United States Navy (USN) aircraft all serving with Carrier Air Wing 2 (CVG-2) during deployment on either the USS Ranger or the USS Essex, a North American RA-5C Vigilante serving with Reconnaissance Attack Squadron 7 “Peacemakers” (RVAH-7) aboard the USS Ranger for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 21st February to 22nd September 1979, a Grumman F9F-5 Panther flown by the Commander, Carrier Air Group 2 (CAG-2) Commander (Cdr) Richard W. Parker in 1954 when fighter squadrons VF-63 "Fighting Redcocks" and VF-64 "Free Lancers", flying F9F-5s, were assigned to CVG-2 for a deployment from November 1954 to June 1955 aboard the USS Essex and a CAG Grumman A-6E Intruder serving with VA-145 “Swordsmen” aboard the USS Ranger. Also includes a double sided A4 black and white placement guide showing side, upper and lower profiles.
