Description: Rare MCM Fratelli Fanciullacci Hand Painted Textured Art Pottery Table / TV Lamp Being offered for your consideration is this Mid Century Modern Fratelli Fanciullacci hand painted, textured art pottery table or TV lamp. The ceramic lamp features painted images of gazelles, flowers in and out of vases plus other whimsical motifs on an orange peel textured surface. Colors used are cranberry, blue and black on a cream white ground. The lamp appears to have been made by hand throwing, and then shaped with pinched sides. Two holes were drilled on the side of the base. One for the electric cord, the other to house the metal push button knob for turning it 'on' or 'off' when connected to an electric power source. When we first acquired the lamp, the felt material on the bottom was barely attached. We photographed the underside of the lamp, and then re-glued the original felt material back in place. We believe it was originally made for use on the television, but it certainly could function on a table behind a sofa, side table for atmospheric lighting or on a glass shelf. The lamp appears to be in its original state as far as we can determine and functions well in its present state. The lamp is signed 'T. 54 / ITALY' on the underside of the base. Overall, the lamp is in excellent shape for its age, but could use a good cleaning. Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details. It measures approximately 7 inches from side to side (measured at the top) and 5 inches deep (measured at the base). The electric cord is approximately 8 feet in length. The lamp weighs approximately 3 lbs. All measurements are approximate, but close. Condition: We carefully examined this item. NO Chips, Cracks, Nicks, Breaks, Scratches, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted. The lamp was tested. The ‘push’ switch which controls turning the lamp ‘on’ or ‘off’ functions properly. PLEASE NOTE: The electric cord, though original is serviceable as found, however, buyer should satisfy this requirement with the opinion of a qualified lighting professional prior to prolonged use.
