RARE MARX - BATTERY OPERATED ELECTRIC CAR REMOTE CONTROL ~ BOXED ~

Description: Hi there, I'm selling a great vintage Marx Toys battery-operated electric car from the 1950s. It is in its original box, and the car is in good condition but sadly damaged, in need of a service. I'm fairly sure the car is modelled on a 1950 Pontiac. It has a remote, running with two large D batteries, on nearly four feet of cable. Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions. The car is just under 10 inches long by roughly 4 inches wide. One of the front wheels is loose. It has come away from its fixed point. Rivet issue. I put batteries in, and it runs. Backwards. It does try to go forward, but it doesn't quite make it. I suspect the grease on the motor has dried out. Or are my batteries too weak? I'm not sure that the steering is working fully, i think something has come loose in the remote, possibly? It's not turning fully. And I think a part of a cover over the switch is missing from the red remote? The box is suffering from age, and it's missing one end.
