Description: This is a signed Jennings Bros. Crystal regulator mantel clock. The clock is in nice condition. I don’t see any major issues. The glass is in good condition and I don’t see any major flaws. The only thing that I see is a possible chip to the scroll at the top of the clock. The clock was wound and ticks and when the hands are cycled, it chimes on the coiled gong. The last service isn’t known and the testing is very initial so it’s being sold as found at a low price. It’s a nice clock and priced to sell so don’t miss it! When I sell crystal regulators, I’m always asked if there is mercury in the pendulum. It is my experience that the American clocks never contained mercury. Instead they used a slug of something that has the appearance of mercury, but is solid. Only the French crystal regulators used mercury. This is an American clock and it uses the faux mercury.
