RARE FB Rogers Silver Co Silver-on-Copper 3-Ftd Dome Top Caviar/Butter Dish 273?

Description: RARE F B Rogers Silver Co with the Rare "Silver on Copper" mark and no pattern mark "273". Three Legged Caviar/Butter Dish with Domed Roll Top. Piece is signed with Trade Mark, Crown and 1883, F B Rogers Silver Co and Silver on Cppper and is without any pattern number mark. Note: the glass insert dish is missing and the legs have varying degrees of wobbleness, at least one wobbley leg shows signs of being subsequently adjusted/repaired (see pictures). I am unable to age this item, but my guess is definitely pre-1950's and probably pre whatever year FBRSC began marking pattern number "273" on this model, because there is no pattern number marked on this Dish. Adjustment/Repair to one leg that became a little wobbly. Please note that "wobbly-leg syndrome" seems to be an issue with this F B Rogers Silver Co three legged dish because at least one other seller noted wobbley-leg in their comments. Having said all that, this Dish is quite an appealing little three-legged attention getter and cleaned-up, polished, and outfitted with a new insert, will distinguish itself on any well set table.
