Rare Early Oignon verge pocket watch c1690 J. Stanford Clarke w. special display

Description: Here is a very beautiful, rare English verge clock, manufactured in London by John Stanford Clark around 1690-1700. Silver double case, original silver dial.Double cased. has a retrograde Day/Night display. Early clocks with special displays are not common. Here's an opportunity as I clean up. John Stanford Clark was a clockmaker since 1686 and in the Clockmaker Company from 1696 to 1725. The clock is in good condition for its age and is ticking right away, accuracy cannot be guaranteed though, obviously. The double case is made of silver, the outer case is covered with leather and has many decorative nails. Beautiful hand for the minute, the hour is indicated by the sun/moon disc. The very early work has a fine verge cock, is beautifully engraved and simply looks great. The pictures should show all details.
