Description: This rare Dutch 1920s “Paras" litho hinged pocket cigar tin, measuring 4’ x 5 1/2” x 1/2”, is in very good condition with no rust or dents and some very minor age related paint scratches and chips. Most of the original high gloss finish remains. The hinge is in excellent condition. The tobacco was manufactured by the Justus Van Maurik Cigar Company, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This highly attractive pink and gold tin features a detailed portrait of Justus Van Maurik who founded the company in 1794. His son continued in the business as did his grandson who was also well know artist and author.
