Description: Very Rare VINTAGE Dick and Jane 7 STORIES "We Look and See" from OUR BIG BOOK with Zippered case and FLASHCARDS This is an amazing vintage Teachers edition of the Our Big Book series We look and See. Featuring Dick and Jane. There is no publication date but assumed to be from the 50's Unlike other sets this has 7 books or 7 Stories. Each book consists of two printed pages, numbered front and back. For 30 total printed pages. Stories and pages as follows: Dick, 4,5,6Jane, 8,9,10,Baby, 12,13,14,Spot, 16,17,18,Puff, 20,21,22,Tim, 24,25,26Tim and Spot, 28,29,30 Each book is printed on a very heavy stock and bound on the left with three hole punches. All books are complete, Bright Printing andexcellent condition for their age. There are a couple pages with small tears at the bottom from turning and there are brown corners on the first pagesof the Dick book from being tucked into the leather corners for travel. No missing pages! The cover is a solid heavy construction and looks to be made of a leather or pebbled vinyl. It is in excellent condition with no tears. It has two easels -one on each back side of the book and are used for keeping the large book upright at the front of the class for all to see. Size: 25-12"h x 19-1/2"w x 1-1/2"d The set includes 14 double sided flash cards. Picture on front and description of back. All in vintage gently used condition with light discoloration from age. Size: 12" x 7" Also included are two original books without covers most likely used by the teacher as they are in rough condition. One is Taped along the edges from many days of teaching. The most unique feature is the carrying case that also comes with this set. This is made by Alton company and made it easier for the teacher to keep it stored and mobile.The easel book fits neatly inside with the flash cards and books. The zippered edge, on three sides functions to keep it all secure however the zipper has deteriorated over the years and has a section on one side that does not work. There is a 5" section of edge binding that has also come un-stitched. This complete set is a rare part of Teaching history. A great addition to any collection! Please see photos as part of the copy.
