RARE Czech Alienware 2 handled Vase in Black & Beige Art Deco Art Pottery

Description: RARE Czech Alienware 2 handled Vase in Black & Beige Art Deco. Condition is Excellent Preowned Amazing and wonderfully bizarre Alienware 'crackle effect' glaze twin handled vase by the Czech pottery studio of Ditmar Urbach. The vase features two handles with finger holes and project out of the tall neck that descends to a rounded bulbous base. The 'crackle' like glaze design is on a creamy beige background while the base and central motif are in lovely deep burnished bronze tones that are edged in gold. The central panel features a stylized flower like pattern almost reminiscent of Art Nouveau / Art and Crafts design motifs, nut is wonderfully abstract and can almost appear as a face when viewed from certain angles. The unique style of the Alienware pottery glaze creates a marbled effect, with a crackled effect finish of orange, and gold on a dark cream to beige background. There are also elements of a vibrant green blue around the deep burnished bronze base and central panels. Dimensions: 10.5” H x 3.5” Diameter at top , 6” diameter at base Dates from 1930-38. It is marked with the impressed number '10377' above '111', and is also marked with a crossed swords symbol. Condition: Offered in superb vintage condition. No cracks, chips, crazing or glaze flows. Ditmar Urbach Alienware is highly prized both in the former USSR and its former satellite states as well as amongst western collectors of futuristic Art Deco pottery and would certainly be a uniquely noticeable piece.
