Description: I am offering for sale a rare circa 1830 French bronze pendulum mantle clock with a gilded bronze figure of a sailor and anchor. It has a brilliant gold finish. The base is elaborately decorated with an anchor, cannon and foliage. It is in excellent condition with no breaks, scratches or missing pieces. When I purchased this clock, the seller represented that the 8-day pendulum movement with thread suspension had been completely restored by a clock maker in Germany. It was completely restored and the movement was completely disassembled by the clock maker, parts cleaned, pins polished, spring housings greased, bearings bolted and shock corrected. It is in its former state. I attached the pendulum and wound the clock and it keeps accurate time and chimes on the half hour and hour. The key and the original pendulum are included. It measures 20 1/2" high x 15" wide x 5" deep.
