Description: Rare Cactus - Myrtillocactus Geometrizans Crested 26” tall with small attached cactus that's 10” tall. This delightful glaucous blue tinting coats the unusual fan-like and folded over, crest and body of this highly decorative cactus. Myrtillocactus geometrizans crested thrives on dry soil, so only water them when the soil has dried out completely in summer. Overwatering is a quick death for them. In winter, water infrequently or at all, and cut back on watering entirely. If growing indoors, this plant prefers temperatures between 55°F to 80°F, while outdoors it can tolerate a wider range of temperatures, as long as it is protected from frost. In terms of USDA hardiness zones, it is generally recommended for zones 9 to 11. These plants can tolerate full sun but have been grown in partial shade. We would therefore recommend that at least 30% shadecloth is used initially if plant placed in full sun. The plants can slowly be accommodated to full sun. This cactus will be shipped in bare root form, but trust it will be packaged with care.
