Description: Rare c1920s Dunhill 14k Gold Engraved Cigar Punch Aerator Draw Enhancer Presented is a superb quality antique Dunhill 14 karat gold cigar aerator, dating to around the 1920s-1930s. This stylish piece is finely engraved around the central shaft and funnel portion with intricate decoration, while the knob that controls the mechanism is done in a handsome hexagonal form. The knob twists to retract a serrated tube-like blade on the inside of the funnel end, and then once a cigar's end has been placed in the funnel, the blade can be extended back again, cutting a small hole in the cigar's center. Dunhill is perhaps the best known name for cigar accessories, and this is a great vintage form we've never seen from them before. Would be an excellent gift for any cigar afficionado. This piece is in excellent condition. The aerator mechanism seems to be in great working shape. The details of the engraved decoration are nice and crisp. No breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is signed Dunhill around the funnel portion, and stamped 14ct (14k) as well as Germany on the end of the knob at the opposite end. The aerator measures about 1 ¾ inches long, and the funnel end is about 5/8 of an inch in diameter. This piece weighs 16.3 grams. Most of this weight is gold, only the blade/shaft portion are not.
