Description: RARE c1860 Antique Ecclesiastical Neo-Renaissance Silver over Copper Frame. Circa 1860. A superb beautifully ornate silver plated frame for a religious image or similar.Stunningly detailed casting of angels, Lamb of God, IHS symbols on both sides with exceptional festoon work. The frame is in good condition with and totally original,there is some copper showing through the plating on the high releif areas.Has two hanging loops with tabs on the back to set in place a glass or mirror etc. Has minor rubbing,tarnishing etc.....All nothing major,but noted. All photos taken outside in good daylight. This frame overall measures 14.6" tall by 9.6"across.Internal measurements are 11"by 6.75" across.
