This axe / hatchet is from my personal collection that I have decided to get rid of. I have over 270 axe heads,, hatchets, blacksmith, tools, hammers, etc. etc.. that I will be listing over the next couple of months. Everything I am selling is 100 % authentic. If anyone tells you any different they are lying to you . 99.75% of my collection has been already verified authentic I’ve posted an ad titled: Antique Black Raven Kelly Axe True Temper Double Bit Axe Please See Pics Please look at the ad with photos of my part of my collection and you will actually realize that these guys saying my things are not authentic have lost their minds . 9/06/24 As of today the axe police trolls here on eBay are saying that since most of my axes don’t have handles and I’ve left them rusty , and my background in my pics is not good enough, that I’m not a real collector ????? Really you losers.? Since I don’t restore my axes or anything just like you do, I’m not a collector . So if I don’t think like you do, then I’m wrong and a scam artist ? Really? You guys are sick , sick in the brain from too much Fox News maybe . Get a life please look at all the pics , i have taken closeups of everything that i can from every angle. if you feel that something is wrong or you are just not sure, then please do not bid. i am being as honest as i can here and am just getting rid of a 35 year collection. there are people out here on ebay who are posting ads with pictures of my listings and trying to convince everyone that my whole collection of 250 axe heads are all fake! and that is simply not true. i purchased 2 private black raven collections , a large one in 1996 and a smaller one in 2001. these were from a private collector whose family was in the business of hardware. im not going to go into a whole big thing here, but these people who think they are experts, have absolutely no idea what they are looking at. from what I have seen so far, they have been using pictures of "not authentic" black ravens, posing them as authentic.... then comparing them to my authentic axes. which is completely ludicrous. and that is called gaslighting, which is a behavior that i do not participate in. again , these so called axe experts are not even close. ive watched them debate for hours on their little forum, trying to best describe the ways of identifying a pre 1920 or post 1920 black raven and none of what they are saying has any merit whatsoever. nor do their claims that i somehow should be jailed for selling my 35 years collection of axe heads and harassed by them. so for some reason they have now focused their attention on me. i have collected for over 35 years, bought and sold many axes. and i would never buy something I thought was questionable, nor would i try and sell something of the same. i mean i would basically need a forging facility, and or a chemical facility with forging stamps, acid molds, and a steel plant. again ....these guys know not, what they are even looking at, and are just assuming that since i have such a large collection, that they all must be counterfiet. you know how like, if an archeologist finds something in the ground that doesnt correlate with his own assumptions, then they write it off as not being true, or couldnt possibly be true? or you know when your around people and everyone tells you how smart you are, and then over time you actually start to beleive it, but the truth is , that you are actually not that smart, your just average? well that is these guys, who are harassing me…. and i call BS on them. nothing i am selling is not authentic. after this all started , myself and a collector friend of mine went through every axe head i have, we found 6 that were questionable out of about 240 or so. and we set them aside so ive been harassed by these maniacs now for about 2 months, they threaten me by saying that they have my address, tell me how deep their pockets are, tell me they are calling the FBI, threaten me, call me names, try to play "good cop bad cop" with me, and im sure are up late at night, thinking about me, and trying to process in their little brains, "how one guy could have so many black ravens"? i dont know, maybe they have never seen ravens in this good of shape. but i can tell you this, the guy that i purchased them from in Wyalusing Pennsylvania, had many more, i only purchased about a third of what he had, plus some other really nice axes from different makers. and probably could not afford the rest. he had some that were museum quality and look nothing like the pictures you see everywhere. if u see one in museum quality you would be amazed. so there you have it, "thats the story" and as Steve Kerr once said...." and im sticking to it. anyway, i dont want to get into a big thing here, but i am not trying to deceive anyone, so if you are bidding on any of my axes, please be prepaired for contact from these maniac experts, and if you are not convinced that my ravens are authentic then please just dont bid, no hard feelings, i just dont need my time wasted, again im just getting rid of my collection. i only have about 12 ravens left anyway, so this too shall soon end. and for everyone who fell for their lies about things not being authentic and returned things to me, sorry but you lost out, because every one of them is authentic. now i have bought some ravens in the modern era, about 6 or seven...i can pretty much say those are authentic as well... unless ive missed something on those, but who knows? Update PLEASE READ BELOw Hey you axe police At your little conference in St. Louis one of you little harassers actually met me , and didn’t even know it . … I thought you would have been bigger and taller ??????? Update I’ve posted an ad titled Antique Black Raven Kelly Axe True Temper Double Bit Axe Please See Pics And the pictures speak for themselves … the walnut brain experts can’t even comprehend what they are looking at, and I can guarantee you my axe collection at one time was larger than all of theirs combined . People like these cyber tough guys are what make the world a difficult place to live in sometimes … because they are so radicalized that they can’t even see that they are not living in reality . I feel sorry for them 9/15/24 I’ve added one more picture of the rear of the axe with the small thunderbird mohawk logo. The axe police trolls on here who keep harassing me started in their little Hee man forum stating how the rear logo look ms as if it didn’t follow the pitting of the surface and was etched after the fact ????? So I have included a second picture of it WITHOUT THE FLASH ON MY CANERA ON . So u can see the logo in its true color and background on the surface of the axe . WITH NO FLASH ON ????!!!!! And also so you can see that these people from the HEE MAN AXE CLUB actually have no idea what they are even looking at . And NOTHING THEY SAY , SHOULD BE TAKEN AS FACTUAL, true , or even remotely close to correct . They actually know nothing , about nothing . It’s kinda sad .
