Description: This is a rare Civil War Zouave with his ornate uniform kepi, sash,U.S. BELT ,his Springfield rifle with fixed bayonet.The elaborate work on the sleeves and vest ,with a multitude of buttons, shows the early part of the war, less was more as the war wore on and by being showy , made themselves easy targets.You can see the scabbard for the bayonet on the soldiers side. The picture is slightly off center but in the case it hardly shows. This has an extremly nice case.
