(listing another similar piece if you are interested,please look for it! ) The pattern shows "Yoke Of Duchess" Lace no. 722 on the Pattern Cloth. I have consulted with an expert on lace and have found that why it is marked ”Duchesse” lace, "unless that is a particular model name given by the company that produced the stamped pattern. This is not Duchesse lace. Duchesse lace is bobbin lace. This is Battenberg tape lace made from commercial tapes and joined together with fancy handmade needle lace.Unsure of exact age,but old,c.1880's?? From a collection of high-end Lace,etc.,amazing condition,some discoloring on the pattern cloth,as seen in pic's. * The actual color of this lace is Beige .
