Description: Rare late 1800’s to early 1900’s Ysauro Uriarte Mexican Talavera Pottery 9 ½” diameter plate. Early Uriarte pattern pieces were heavily influenced by imported Chinese and Middle Eastern colors and patterns. This hand made plate features a floral and bird motif with a wide edge of light blue and yellow. This is a hand formed piece free from chips and cracks. The front of the plate has a single pit from the firing process which is common with this pottery there are 5 pits on the back. This a charming one of a kind piece!!!
