Maynard M.D. (Physician of Lorain County) Born: September 14, 1851 (Ripley Township, Huron Co. Ohio) Parents: George & Polly (Woodward) Maynard In 1873 he began school at the Eclectic Medical Institute (Cincinnati, OH) Graduating his degree of M.D. in 1875. Served as Assistant Physician in the Northwestern Ohio Asylum for the Insane (Toledo, OH) from 1875 - 1877In 1878 he moved to North Amherst, Ohio (practicing there for 7 years) During that time he took a post-graduate course Medical College at Western Reserve U. Graduating from there in 1884. In 1885-1886 the Doctor spent six months on Graduate Courses in Polyclinic, NY Returning to Elyria, Ohio in 1886 he established a new practice. In the winter if 1888-1889 he traveled to Europe visiting London, Paris, Berlin. There he honed his craft doing more post-graduate work at various medical institutions. In 1892 he took more graduate courses at the Homeopathic Medical College Chicago. In 1893 he spent six weeks on Post-Graduate work in New York. Married Miss Mary E. Lyman in 1877 He is a Member of: Republican Party Royal Arcanum I.O.F.
