Description: Marlene Hartman was born in Germany and migrated to the US in the 1800s. there she met, and married Frank J Holtz a native of Germany. Music was an important part of the Hartman family, and upon a return visit to Germany, Marlene, an accomplished harpist, was given one of the family heirlooms the “Hartman Harp”. The Hartman Harp was lovingly created by one of Marlenes ancestors, who was known for his exceptional craftsmanship of musical instruments. He was known to create only four of such harps. The location of the remaining three “Hartman Harps” remain lost to history. The “Hartman Harp” was recently discovered after languishing for years, forgotten in a descendents attic. The harp has remained in possession of one or another Hartman/Holtz family member for the last 200 years. It now awaits restoration and is being offered to a private buyer. Please look at photos prior to messaging, this harp has no petals, no strings, and is really a historical piece looking for a home to be showcased and treasured. Please feel free to ask any questions and I would be happy to email further photos. Thanks for looking.
