Description: This listing is for a gorgeous antique French mantel clock. This particular clock has been attributed to Lewis Foreman Day by major auction houses such as Christie’s and Bonham’s. The clock features a lovely Victorian Aesthetic style case, with carved detailing, ebonized wood, and metal accents. The movement is an 8 day time and strike. It was last serviced in 2019. It ran and chimed when recently tested. The clock measures 10.75 x 8.7 x 15.4 inches. The clock appears to be in overall good condition. Colors are still vibrant. Some signs of normal wear and age present. Some of the wood exhibits signs of minor repair. Some of the coloring on the case (sides) appears to have been nicely retouched over the years. This clock is very well built and is quite heavy. Please note that any mechanical clock that is shipped might require adjustments upon arrival. Thus time accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Please see all photos for details and feel free to message with any questions. Cheers!
