This beautiful scrolling set of 16 hand colored lithographed scenes of key moments in early American history are housed in in a box designed to look like a theatre that measures 8 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 2" with beautiful pictorial details along the border. This originally came with tickets and a script (that are missing) that would be read as the scenes were changed as they followed early American history with a heavy focus on battles and treaties with Native Americans leading to the American Revolution and ultimately the British surrender at Yorktown. Very hard to find in any condition, this early antique Milton Bradley toy is in surprisingly good shape for its age and although the box shows some wear and soiling the paper lithograph scroll is in excellent shape without the usual rips, tears or damage usually seen on these due to its fragile nature. It does show a few wrinkles, but it is in otherwise great shape, with bright colors and it turns freely with no issues. The knobs may not be original but work well and turn the scenes as they should.
