Description: Up for sale is a rare antique CLIGNACOURT, MANUFACTURE DE MONSIEUR two piece porcelain bough pot made in Paris 1785.This large example is completely painted by hand with vibrant enameled floral scenes done with a hypo realistic approach on all three panels.The pot is made in a half moon pillared form and is also embellished with very elaborate gold gilded detailing throughout.It features a removable bough lid with 7 mounted vase lips and vent holes along with applied gilding as well.When the lid sits recessed inside the base it rests on 4 inner prongs as seen when lid is removed.there are several marks underneath and the piece is in very nice condition.It measures 11 5/8 inches long by 6 inches back to front by 5 1/2 inches tall.there are two very small flakes on a vase lip and the inner base edge along with discoloration on the back corner as seen in last photo.
